Whenever I fold towels, I roll them up very specifically in a way that tucks all their edges in and away from view. My man never asked how to fold towels when I switched, he just started rolling them too. But without fail this man puts them on the shelf with the edges showing. And I'll never tell him that it's different. Because when I see my folded towels, I see nicely folded towels; and when I see his folded towels, I see love.
I love Marie Kondo like a disciple. I fold his clothes in the konmari style. He told me he doesn't want to learn so that if I die first, he'll remember me when he folds his clothes differently than the way he's used to seeing them. When I fold his clothes, I see love.

Tomorrow's game plan kinda makes me feel sick here we go
- get up abt 7? maybe?? pay my rent and download some powerpoints i need to look at while im on the plane, also movies and whatever (basically getting all the 'from my bed' tasks out the way to set me up well)
- at like 8:30 my mum will be up to start work but beforehand shes gonna help me narrow down my clothes ☠️ so. choose clothes is the next step
- 9am babe time for your final zoom therapy! Let's all celebrate me being officially cured. So glad I am cured! Very very happy to be cured. this finishes at 10, might need 15 minutes to cry
- bring clothes downstairs, sort into piles, konmari fold, put into packing cubes. this will take longer than i expect without a doubt. i will watch vlogs and superstore and try to think as little as possible
- hopefully will be done with clothes, underwear, socks, accessories and shoes before 12, 1 at latest. and will have eaten my overnight oats
- i get a break to uhhh bang my head into a wall / download some more shows and music / bawl my eyes out Then I'm pouring an energy drink I already bought into a glass with ice and frantically gathering & sorting Other Bits eg toiletries im bringing, swim stuff, extension cords Whatever whatever basically everything else i need that i donr wanna repurchase when i get there :P
- when that's done i just have to. Wait for my suitcase to be fuckinf delivered. in the meantime i must check in for my flight, plan the exact route i am going to walk through the airport and look at pictures, also look at pictures of the airport im flying to so i know what to expect
i also need to do a big shower, do my nails, and do a big skin cleanse at some point LMFAO and trim my hair bc my hairdresser forgot one of my layers 😭 im sure a million other bits and pieces are gonna come up too but i needed to block out at least the first part of my day lol I BELIEVE I CAN DO IR AND NOT EXPLODE

I know that is quite a bold statement to declare and actually be able to stick to it, but that is precisely why I am stating it here, as a form of commitment and accountability: to myself by sharing with you.
I am pretty sure it’s going to take me the better part of this year to tackle this project not least because I am disabled and everything takes that much longer for me. I have help but it’s always limited.
Previously I tried the KonMari method and it simply didn’t work for my ADHD brain, in fact I am living with the aftermath of that failed experiment and part of the reason I need to declutter.
I like the idea of it but I don’t think it’s very ADHD friendly. Although I do still fold my clothes according to that method as I have limited space, but again, not sure its works for me even here as I don’t know what on earth I have in my smalls drawers anymore.
I already struggle with focus, to then make even more clutter to declutter is simply going to equal more clutter for me and shut me down. Dumping my clothes out onto my bed, for example, to see what finds joy was only ever going to increase the floordrobe (iykyk).
Now that I’ve stopped trying to put me, a square peg in a round hole, I am trialing out other methods. Single task focus is where I am at with strategies. I will utilise a playlist alongside tasks or doing tasks along side another activity with a timer, like when food is in the oven and making that a 25 minute side quest.
Nothing taxing before 2pm and definitely not before lunch. I’m also using the Pomodoro technique with an analogue timer. Short bursts, long breaks. Pacing is key with disabilities and with a neurodivergent brain 🫣
Hyperfocus during such tasks is actually really unhelpful because I have physical limitations and simply can’t risk injury from hours of that intense activity. I have to force myself to take breaks and rest. The Pomodoro technique really helps with that. The timer is jarring and that is by design. It stops you in your tracks.
Having a playlist of music is a key motivator for me and using soothing ASMR (ocean, thunderstorm, etc) on the down time equally helps
What strategies do you use?

It seems to me that the trouble with digital is it's all still physical objects. Maybe there can be copies of things and they can travel very fast and be in multiple places and be compressed down and stored in unthinkably tinier places and accessed cleverly and take forms we could barely conceive of before we met computers.
But it's still an SSD card, a big server, a powerplant, physical equipment to read a bunch of information inscribed into a very high tech substrate (stuff!)
Old film negatives or plates aren't nearly as useful until you use a bunch of old processes, materials and skills to pull prints from them. Even digitisation requires both image capture tools (objects) and software (runs on objects) to replicate a process that was originally made with objects, and which is therefore modelled on data from having those objects.
Lots of people say 'oh get rid of manuals and physical books and photo albums and go digital' and sure. Tactility aside it's great option for space. Fold your two hundred book library into a flash drive the size of a postage stamp like an old man folding the broadsheet down to a postcard. Saves on a lot of dusting and apartments are pretty small. (First person to use this as an excuse to pile on konmari is getting hit with a saucepan btw)
But putting it all in the digital space is treated like using a magic hammerspace where it's safe, retrievable and doesn't rely on the physical world at all. Just your passwords which are now tied to you specific phone, your accounts which run on servers which are just computers you don't own. Your evergreen file formats. Your hard drives which will not fail of course, and will always be backed up to other infallible hard drives and other people's computers and Google searches which definitely find that blog (dead) which had a link (dead) to a file on a Google drive (deleted) that one time. Electricity which will always be on and legacy software that will definitely still run on the new hardware because the old ones long gone, and WiFi which is a basic utility so will always be flowing and so so much water in the big server farms run by the monopolies bigger than nations.
It just seems. Like a grown-up, acceptable equivalent to stuffing a bunch of stuff under your bed so you don't have to think about it. Because even if you ignore the monopolies and the exploitation for water and minerals, and the planned obsolescence. Isn't it all still depending on stuff? Physical, very dense stuff. That needs to be kept dry and cool and powered on and connected and very Not Near big magnets? But it's still objects to look after.
It feels like when we're selling each other the idea of keeping everything 'digital' there's an undercurrent of 'because it loopholes having to think about the inherent ephemerality, storage requirements and maintenance needs of physical objects'. But just as computing can transcend the forms of the physical, so is it dependent on it. I'm worried what's happening given that as a broader culture we pretend that it removes thinking about objects, rather than adding a whole new bunch of objects to look after.
And at some point that file in that file format on that cloud server or storage device will be as inaccessible to you as an undeveloped glass plate negative is now. That day is coming sooner than we think. And pretending it's not still made of physical stuff is contributing to the narratives that let it get pushed here faster.
(Also my computer harddrive died last week. Pah.)
#talking freds#sorry i said flash drive im old. ehat do they even call them now. thumb drives?#sorry i said 200 book library I'm dyscalculic not saying ANYTHING in particular about your big or small library i dont even know which it i#better peiple than me have said this already#but im insomniac and i saw an article about glass negatives and got thinking#long post#my entire teenage music libary is on a semi corrupted ipod classic and jalf of it disappeared from the itunes Library at some point#i just. dont listen to lot of music now. i do listen. but not close. its not the same.

💅🏼 What's your aesthetic?
In Depth and Personal Munday meme
Organization!!! God, I just love things looking nice and neat and organized. I know you and I have talked about this before lol.
I'm getting ready for this big rehaul of my closet at the moment. I'm getting rid of a few things, measure things, going to get all matching hangers, etc.
Today, an hour ago, I took all the extra pillow cases/blankets/sheets and folded them up the Konmari way and deciding what to donate to downsize a bit. I gotta say they look pretty nice now!
As for things like colors, I don't really have any. I love all colors. Though I suppose I am leaning more towards white furniture lately. I do prefer things with solid colors rather than prints.

when i was a kid my mom would clean my room while i was in the middle of playing and she'd throw away just so much of important stuff i wasn't finished with. i think i was like 5 or 6 when i learned that if i don't clear the table after drawing it'll all end up in the trash. and she's always hated the way i clean! she hates that i fold my clothes konmari style and we argued ad nauseam about me wanting to use reusable hemp kitchen towels when i moved out instead of the exact yellow chifonet brand plastic towel she prefers. like. mother behaviour.

I’m reading “Unmasking Autism” rn and I just got to the part about designing your living space, and my brain lit up like a fuckin Christmas tree
Tbh I’ve been looking back over the konmari method over the past month or so, and processing why it was so helpful to me and my autistic brain. I think for one, I never understood why tidying was important, in addition to not getting the “how” either because the lessons and instructions I’d gotten as a kid were all aural and didn’t make sense to me. So just being able to read “common sense” things in a book suddenly made it more clear. This is in addition to online content like videos on konmari folding, which I find both soothing and educational to watch.
I also think the method is flexible both in terms of how you can tailor it to your own needs, as well as there being very clear cut rules, guidelines, and steps to follow, along with reasoning as to why those steps are in place. I’m very stubborn about wanting to do things my way and also needing clear-cut guidelines to follow.
I also think the organizational system is conceptually ideal for me. It aims to both reduce visual clutter and to store things in a way where you can very easily see what you have. I very much spent most of my life as a “the floor is a shelf” person, partly because I very rarely assigned a “home” for anything other than clothes or books, and partly because I need to be able to see something on a regular basis in order to remember where it is. This made my space very stressful to be in, but cleaning was so overwhelming a task that I could only get myself to do it when absolutely necessary.
I’m still not a perfectly tidy person, but I’m much better equipped to take care of my home than I was edite reading Marie Kondo’s book.

30 and 37 please!
30. Is your closet organized? If so, how?
Last year we splurged on the installation of custom closets and I love it so much. My closet is always organized now when it had always been a big challenge for me in the past.
Dresses are hung in rainbow order. Shirts are also hung in rainbow order. Skirts and trousers are grouped by kind but not ROY G BIV-ed.
Sweaters are grouped by cardigan or pullover, then folded and stacked by color.
T-shirts, tanks, and other casual tops are folded KonMari style and also arranged in rainbow order.
37. Do you mind if others are in the kitchen when you’re cooking or baking?
The more the merrier. Let's do this together.

Wardrobe Organization Tips for the Busy Professional Woman
In today's fast-paced world, having an organized wardrobe can make all the difference in streamlining your daily routine. For busy professional women, an efficient wardrobe setup ensures quick outfit selection, reduces stress, and enhances productivity. Here’s a comprehensive guide to keeping your wardrobe well-structured and functional.
1. Declutter Regularly
The foundation of an organized wardrobe is decluttering. Remove items that no longer fit, are out of style, or haven't been worn in a year. A well-curated wardrobe should consist of pieces that you love, feel confident in, and wear frequently.
Tips for Decluttering:
Use the KonMari Method: Ask yourself if an item sparks joy.
Create three piles: Keep, Donate, and Discard.
Store seasonal items separately to maximize space.
2. Invest in Wardrobe Essentials
A busy professional should have a mix of classic and versatile pieces. Investing in high-quality workwear ensures you’re always prepared.
Must-Have Pieces:
Well-fitted blazers
Classic button-down shirts
Neutral-colored trousers and skirts
Elegant dresses
Comfortable yet stylish shoes
For timeless workwear pieces, check out No More Bluez for high-quality women’s formal wear.
3. Categorize by Function and Frequency
Arrange your clothes based on how often you wear them. Daily essentials should be within easy reach, while occasional outfits can be stored higher up.
Effective Categorization:
Daily Workwear: Blazers, trousers, and shirts
Casual Fridays & Business Casual: Co-ord sets, relaxed blouses
Seasonal & Occasional Wear: Winter coats, evening gowns
4. Utilize Space-Saving Storage Solutions
A well-organized wardrobe isn't just about what you own but how you store it. Optimize your space with these storage hacks:
Velvet Hangers: Maximize closet space and prevent clothes from slipping.
Drawer Dividers: Perfect for organizing accessories like belts and scarves.
Hanging Organizers: Store shoes, bags, and folded items efficiently.
5. Plan Your Outfits in Advance
Reduce decision fatigue by planning outfits ahead of time. Setting aside five work outfits every Sunday saves time in the morning rush.
Pro Tip:
Use a clothing app to mix and match outfits virtually.
Opt for neutral palettes to create interchangeable looks.
6. Organize Accessories Strategically
Accessories like scarves, belts, jewelry, and handbags can elevate an outfit. Keep them well-arranged to easily find what you need.
Accessory Storage Ideas:
Use a wall-mounted jewelry organizer
Store handbags in dust bags to maintain their shape
Keep everyday jewelry in a tray for quick access
7. Maintain a Clean and Tidy Space
A clutter-free wardrobe translates to a clutter-free mind. Make it a habit to reorganize weekly and put everything back in its designated place after use.
Quick Organization Tips:
Color-code your clothes for visual appeal and easy retrieval.
Use labelled bins for folded clothes like sweaters and tees.
Keep a donation bin in your closet for items you no longer wear.
8. Rotate Wardrobe Seasonally
Avoid overcrowding your closet by rotating items based on seasons. Store off-season clothes in vacuum-sealed bags or under-bed storage.
Seasonal Storage Tips:
Use breathable fabric storage bags for delicate items.
Keep winter boots and coats in a separate section.
Rotate accessories like scarves and hats based on the weather.
9. Use Technology for Inventory Management
Fashion organization apps like Stylebook or Cladwell help you keep track of what you own and create outfit ideas effortlessly.
Benefits of a Digital Wardrobe:
Helps reduce impulse purchases.
Suggests outfit combinations.
Keeps track of worn and unworn items.
10. Set a Monthly Review Routine
Take out 30 minutes each month to review your wardrobe. This helps you stay on top of what needs replacement and what can be removed.
Checklist for Monthly Review:
Are all items in good condition?
Do you still wear all pieces?
Are there any wardrobe gaps to fill?
By following these wardrobe organization tips, professional women can save time, reduce stress, and maintain a polished, stylish look every day. For sophisticated office wear that makes dressing easier, explore No More Bluez and upgrade your wardrobe with timeless, elegant pieces.

Fold Sides: Fold one side of the t-shirt towards the center, then fold the sleeve back to create a straight edge. Repeat with the other side.
Fold in Half: Fold the t-shirt in half from the bottom up, aligning the hem with the shoulders.
Final Fold: Fold in half once more if needed, depending on the size of your storage space.
The Military Roll
The military roll is a space-saving technique often used by travelers and in military organizations for its compact efficiency.
Lay Flat: Start with the t-shirt face down on a flat surface.
Fold Up Hem: Fold up the bottom hem about 2-3 inches to create a cuff.
Fold Sides: Fold one side towards the center, then fold the sleeve back. Repeat on the other side.
Roll Tightly: Starting from the top, tightly roll the t-shirt down towards the bottom cuff.
Tuck: Once rolled, tuck the rolled part into the bottom cuff to secure it.
The KonMari Method
Popularized by Marie Kondo, this method is designed to keep your drawers tidy and make it easy to see all your t-shirts at a glance.
Lay Flat: Place the t-shirt face up on a flat surface.
Fold Sides: Fold one side towards the center, then fold the sleeve back. Repeat with the other side.
Fold Lengthwise: Fold the t-shirt in half lengthwise, from the bottom hem to the neckline.
Fold in Thirds: Fold the t-shirt into thirds, starting from the bottom, creating a compact, upright rectangle that can stand on its own.
Tips for Effective Folding
Smooth Out Wrinkles: Ensure each fold is smooth to prevent wrinkles.
Consistent Size: Try to fold each t-shirt to a consistent size for easy stacking.
